FROM THE FIRST HELLO TO HOMECOMING

What to expect.
A thoughtful beginning.

Get to know our process, read the agreement and health guarantee, and see the familiar comforts that travel home with your puppy.

01

Begin with an application

Once you’ve decided you’d like to add a Heavenly Springers puppy to your family, the process begins with completing our application. After reviewing it, we’ll schedule a phone conversation so we can get to know one another and make sure this is the right fit for both you and the puppy.

02

Reserve your place and choose your puppy

When we’re both ready to move forward, you’ll complete the contract and deposit to secure your place on our waitlist. Puppies are selected at three weeks of age, in the order of the waitlist. While we do not choose a specific puppy for you, we’re happy to offer thoughtful guidance based on the qualities you’re hoping for in a companion.

It’s important to remember that a puppy’s temperament continues to develop and can change based on the training, socialization, and environment they experience in their forever home.

03

Become part of their story

We post regular updates on social media so you can follow your puppy’s growth and development while they’re still with us. Local families are especially welcome to visit regularly—these visits help you bond with your puppy and see firsthand the care and enrichment they’re receiving each week.

Visits are arranged with Elizabeth after puppy selection.

04

Home together at ten weeks

Puppies are ready to go home at 10 weeks of age. We’ll coordinate a convenient pick-up time with you in advance. On the day you take your puppy home, we set aside plenty of time for questions and conversation so you feel fully prepared and confident.

We also send you home with “homework”—simple activities and practices that continue the foundation of education and training we’ve already begun.

READ BEFORE YOU RESERVE

Health Guarantee

Our written guarantee is below. Talk with Elizabeth about the coverage, exclusions, and your responsibilities before making your reservation.

This puppy has had first vaccination shots against canine parvovirus, parainfluenza, adenovirus cough and distemper. The Buyer must have the puppy examined within five (5) days of pickup from the Breeder by a licensed veterinarian for this Health Guarantee to be valid.

The puppy is guaranteed for one (1) year starting from the date of birth against any life-threatening genetic illness supported by a veterinarian statement. If a life threatening genetic defect arises in the puppy, we will exchange it for another puppy of equal value from our next available litter or a refund no greater than the price paid for the puppy. The Buyer agrees to pay any fees associated with the return of the puppy as well as any fee associated with an exchange of a puppy.

Buyer understands that a replacement option is valid only when a documented health problem(s) are attributed to a hereditary condition(s) and not due to accident, maltreatment, neglect, injury, illness or disease contracted while in the Buyer’s possession.

Buyer understands that the following minor genetic defects are not considered life-threatening and therefore are not covered such as, but not limited to: herniated umbilicus, undescended testicle(s), under-bite or over-bite. In addition, there are certain disorders that may be caused by environmental factors such as allergies, thyroid dysfunctions, mange, hip dysplasia and other autoimmune disorders that are not covered by this Health Guarantee.

The Breeder also requires the Buyer to keep the puppy/dog on a regular vaccination program, heartworm prevention and routine worming through a licensed veterinary clinic. If the Buyer fails to do so the Health Guarantee is VOID.

Once the puppy leaves the Breeder’s possession, all bills/costs associated with the treatment, examination, care, etc. of the puppy belong solely to the Buyer. If for any reason the Buyer or the Breeder have a dispute that needs to be addressed with a court the Buyer agrees that ALL legal proceedings will be conducted in the county and state in which the Breeder resides.

The Breeder reserves the right to have the puppy examined by the Breeder’s veterinarian at the Breeder’s expense.

No puppy is guaranteed for temperament. It is up to the Buyer to properly socialize their puppy from the time of pickup. Heavenly Springers encourages the Buyer to participate in puppy obedience classes to aid in proper socialization, growth and development.

This guarantee is only offered to the original purchaser. The puppy, to the best of the Breeder’s knowledge, is in excellent health at the time of the sale.
