Welcome to Heavenly Springers. It has been a lifelong dream of mine to breed Springer Spaniels. As a child my favorite memories were when my dog had puppies. For years I have wanted to recreate those experiences for my children but the timing never was right….until now. A year and a half ago we found our forever farm and I have been living the dream ever since. Springer Spaniels are the best family dog. They are affectionate with family, good with children and good with other dogs (and cats in our experience). Springers are also very playful, eager to please and adaptive to different situations and environments which make them easy to have as a member of the family.
My goal is to be a conscientious breeder striving to provide healthy and happy puppies to their forever homes. The puppies are born and raised in our home to provide an enriched environment giving them a great start in life. I have discovered a program called Puppy Culture that will take our puppies to an entirely different level of success. (I encourage you to visit the Puppy Culture website to learn more…www.puppyculture.com) It takes a lot of extra time and investment in each puppy but I feel it is worth it and is a great added benefit to our puppies. I believe that the program is the gold standard in puppy rearing and early socialization.
Each week of their lives the puppies are given different experiences that build the foundation of a well rounded dog. It starts with early neurological stimulation exercises that help build skills like startle recovery, exercises for the prevention of separation anxiety, litter box training to start the foundation of potty training, desensitizing puppies to grooming tools so they can better tolerate their future visits to the groomer… and so much more. By the time they are ready to go home they will also know how to sit on cue, give up a toy and come when called.
My children have been very involved in each stage of the process so it is a win/win for me. They are learning so much and enjoying every minute of it. I couldn’t ask for more.
